FBCJ's
Metro Assistance Program provides a way for non-church members in the
Metropolitan area to receive assistance
with their essential needs. These needs primarily include food and limited
financial assistance for utilities. However, the church provides
referrals to agencies within Mississippi, like Mission First and Crestwood,
that offer help with dental care, clothing, housing, gas, and even counseling
and ongoing education. The number one purpose of the FBCJ Metro Assistance
Ministry is to make sure no one leaves without knowing who Jesus Christ
is and has an opportunity to accept him as their Lord and Savior.
- The Metro Assistance Program is available on Tuesdays
from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the 2nd floor Welcome Center, FBCJ.
- To volunteer contact Lee
Thigpen at 601-949-1932.

activities, and sharing in special holiday and fellowship events.
- Each SUNDAY morning at 10:30 - 11:30 a.m the Friend-to-Friend
Sunday School/Bible Study meets in room S201. Volunteer workers are
needed and welcomed for the many tasks in an active Sunday School Department.
- THURSDAY morning from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. 5 classes
which range from beginning level to advanced reading and writing and
